Science & Tech
Science and technology are often underserved in the classroom, but happen to be one of the most enjoyable spaces for learning to occur. Particularly, science can be a wondrous place, learning about the characteristics of living things to exploring the planets of our universe and the life forms that exist on our own planet, Earth. The five-step lesson plan is always useful here, but science is also a content area that aligns with inquiry-based approaches to learning, which allow students to use their five senses in a way that encourages and excites learning. To provide space for such learning, I have included several ideas for science and technology that incorporate a balance of approaches to science teaching and learning.
